Assignment 2: Step A – Choosing Data Set

 In class we discussed on possibilities, I was interested into languages, and more specifically dead languages, and it occurred to me to look at Euskera language.

- Euskera is a language which isn't very spoken nowadays, but given the recent political constellation has increased importance, its frequent speakers have increased in number across past years

- looked for data at the Euskadi Open Data Bank, data on the 4 provinces + whole País Vasco, every 4 years

Another possibility is bike accidents in Madrid --> Despite being a frequent cyclist in Rotterdam I find biking in Madrid dangerous and challenging

- found in Madrid open data bank, data on bike and electric accidents in Madrid over the past year: street, coordinates, gender, age, severity of the accident (and extent medical assistance), drug and alcohol influence and so on.

        * fun fact: none of the cyclists in any accident were under the influence of alcohol or drugs
